State of the ICANN multi-stakeholder model
Given a history of failures ending with the handling of .org and self-funding surcharges to end users for "R+D" and beginning with top level domain applicant data breaches and uninformed selection mechanisms, it seems the current implementation needs to be revamped. IMHO travel funding has been used as an attractant and rose colored glasses that needs to be removed to fix this system. Prior to IANA transition there was at least one strong budget independent voice.
